NEW SKETCH #9

Her hands rise to her face as though checking the boundaries of herself. Blank white eyes and a red mouth pull the gaze upward; below them, an anatomical heart has become something stranger, growing scorpion claws and a curled tail.

Coiled serpents, red flowers, and dark jointed limbs press against the ornate oval frame. The figure remains pale and exposed at the center, surrounded by forms that are beautiful, defensive, and watchful all at once.

The piece sits in the uneasy space between vulnerability and self-protection: a body rendered as both exposed and armed.
